Man Assaults Victim With Baseball Bat At Residence In Wilton, Police Say

A man is facing charges after police say he assaulted a victim with a baseball bat at a Wilton residence.

Wilton Police say they responded to a Wilton residence on the report of a physical altercation on Monday, May 27 around 10 p.m.

Further investigation revealed that 49-year-old Jerome Tomlin of Wilton struck the victim with a baseball bat after a verbal argument had escalated, according to police.

Tomlin was arrested and charged with second-degree assault. He is being held on $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Norwalk Superior Court on Tuesday, May 28.
